Online survey about dengue fever outbreak underway
The Hawaii Department of Health is conducting a survey about Big Island residents’ response to the dengue outbreak.
Results will help to describe the knowledge, attitudes and practices of respondents related to mosquito illness and prevention and will help to coordinate future activities on this topic.

VFW weekly schedule announced
VFW Post 12122 behind Kona Locksmith off Kaiwi Street has several events planned this week.
The activities committee meets at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Pasta will be served with a salad and dessert from 5-7 p.m. July 8 for $5. The public is invited.
The VFW’s monthly meeting will start at 11:30 a.m. July 9. Also, that day, the VFW Auxiliary will hold a yard sale and flea market from 7 a.m. to noon in Kailua View Estates. To donate items, call Leona at 329-8208.
